This instrument is the Higher Education Support (HELP Tuition Protection Levy) (Administrative Fee) Determination 2020.

(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under section 9 of the Higher Education Support (HELP Tuition Protection Levy) Act 2020.

4 Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Higher Education Support (HELP Tuition Protection Levy) Act 2020

Administrative fee component has the same meaning as in the Act.

5 Determination of administrative fee component

(1) For the purposes of section 8 of the Act, the following amounts are determined for the calendar year beginning on 1 January 2020:

(a) the amount for the purposes of paragraph 8(2)(a) is $107; and

(b) the amount for the purposes of paragraph 8(2)(b) is $9.

Note: Amounts specified for the purposes of paragraphs 8(2)(a) or (b) of the Act are subject to indexation in accordance with subsection 10(1) of the Act unless an instrument is made under section 9 of the Act for a subsequent year.
