This instrument is the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Utilities and Services (Water, Sewerage and Building Application Services Fees) Amendment (2020 Measures No. 1) Determination 2020.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under paragraph 7(2)(a) of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Utilities and Services Ordinance 2016.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Insert:
commercial/residential land: see subsection 5(2A).
2 After subsection 5(2)
Insert:
(2A) Land is commercial/residential land if:
(a) the land is used, but not wholly or primarily, for the purpose mentioned in paragraph (2)(a); and
(b) the land is used for one or more of the following purposes:
(i) a shop;
(ii) a workshop;
(iii) an office;
(iv) a bakery;
(v) a surgery;
(vi) any other business purpose.
3 Subsection 6(2)
Omit “1 July 2019”, substitute “1 November 2020”.
4 Subclause 1(2) of Schedule 1 (table item 2)
Repeal the item, substitute:
