Schedule 1—Amendments
Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001
This instrument is the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment (Native Forest Wood Waste) Regulations 2022.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001
1 Subregulation 8(1)
Omit “(1) For”, substitute “For the purposes of”.
2 Paragraph 8(1)(d)
Omit “residue; and”, substitute “residue.”.
3 Paragraph 8(1)(e)
Repeal the paragraph.
4 Subregulations 8(2) to (4)
Repeal the subregulations.
5 In the appropriate position in Part 9
Insert:
Despite the amendments of regulation 8 made by Schedule 1 to the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment (Native Forest Wood Waste) Regulations 2022, that regulation continues to apply, as if those amendments had not been made, in relation to an accredited power station if:
(a) the power station first became accredited as an accredited power station during the period that:
(i) began on 27 June 2015; and
(ii) ended immediately before the commencement of this regulation; and
(b) the application for accreditation of the power station listed the eligible energy source of wood waste.
