Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997

1  Name

  This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Health and Aged Care Measures No. 1) Regulations 2023.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Assisted Reproductive Technology Storage Funding Program

To provide funding to organisations to store, for future use, eggs, sperm or embryos as part of, or incidental to, the provision of medical services (within the meaning of paragraph 51(xxiiiA) of the Constitution) to:

(a) persons with cancer; or

(b) persons who are at risk of passing on genetic diseases or conditions and whose eggs, sperm or embryos have undergone preimplantation genetic testing in relation to which a medicare benefit under the Health Insurance Act 1973 is payable.
