1 Name
(1) This instrument is the National Health (Growth Hormone Program) Special Arrangement Amendment Instrument 2023 (No. 2).
(2) This instrument may also be cited as PB 96 of 2023.

This instrument is made under subsection 100(2) of the National Health Act 1953.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
National Health (Growth Hormone Program) Special Arrangement 2015 (PB 85 of 2015)
[1] Part 1, Section 4, Definitions for “adult”
Repeal and substitute:
adult means a person, who:
(a) is not a child; or
(b) is 18 years of age or older and has late onset growth hormone deficiency.
[2] Part 1, Section 4, Definitions for “CDC 2000”
Repeal and substitute:
CDC 2000 means the growth charts in the document entitled 2000 CDC Growth Charts for the United States: Methods and Development and CDC Extended BMI-for-Age Growth Charts, published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US Department of Health and Human Services, dated December 2022, and available on that Department’s website at http://www.cdc.gov/GROWTHcharts
[3] Part 1, Section 4, Definitions for “child”
Repeal and substitute:
child means a person, who:
(a) has a non-mature skeleton; or
(b) has a diagnosis of Prader-Willi syndrome, with a mature skeleton and is less than 18 years of age.
