Child Care Subsidy Minister’s Rules 2017

1  Name

  This instrument is the Child Care Subsidy Amendment (Additional Child Care Subsidy) Minister’s Rules 2023.

2  Commencement

  This instrument commences on 16 October 2023.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under subsection 85GB(1) of the A New Tax System (Family Assistance) Act 1999.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Child Care Subsidy Minister’s Rules 2017

1  Paragraph 11A(b)

After “the individual”, insert “or their”.

2  After paragraph 11A(c)

Insert:

 (ca) the child is in a formal foster care arrangement (within the meaning of section 8E of these Rules);

3  At the end of section 11A

Add:

 ; (e) the eligible individual, their partner or the child is homeless;

 (f) the eligible individual, their partner or the child is affected by the harmful use of alcohol or another drug.
