Local Government (Financial Assistance) (Local Governing Body) Declaration 2023

I, Kirsty McBain, Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories, acting on the advice of the Northern Territory (NT) Minister responsible for the administration of the law of the NT that establishes the Local Government Grants Commission of the NT, DECLARE LGANT Ltd (ACN: 662 805 503), to be a local governing body for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “local governing body” in section 4 of the Local Government (Financial Assistance) Act 1995 (Cth).

This declaration commences on 1 July 2023.
