Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997

1  Name

  This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Veterans’ Affairs Measures No. 1) Regulations 2024.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

1  Part 4 of Schedule 1AB (table item 239)

Repeal the item.

2  In the appropriate position in Part 4 of Schedule 1AB (table)

Veterans’ Acute Housing—Specialist Services

To support veterans and their families who experience, or who are at risk of experiencing, homelessness by funding organisations to provide services to assist veterans and their families with:

(a) case management and coordination; and

(b) accessing financial or other material supports; and

(c) accessing crisis or transitional accommodation; and

(d) accessing mental health treatment, rehabilitation services (including alcohol and other drug programs), health services and psychosocial supports; and

(e) identifying or securing employment; and

(f) identifying or retaining longterm housing options; and

(g) accessing other Commonwealth or Commonwealthfunded services and supports.
