Family Assistance (Immunisation Principles and Vaccination Schedules) (DSS) Determination 2018

1  Name

  This instrument is the Family Assistance (Immunisation Principles and Vaccination Schedules) (DSS) Amendment Determination 2024.

2  Commencement

(1)    Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this instrument as originally made. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this instrument.

(2)    Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this instrument. Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it may be edited, in any published version of this instrument.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under subsection 4(1) of A New Tax System (Family Assistance) Act 1999.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Family Assistance (Immunisation Principles and Vaccination Schedules) (DSS) Determination 2018

1  Subsection 8(1) (note 2)

Repeal the note, substitute:

Note 2 As of 4 June 2024, the Australian Immunisation Handbook can be found at: https://immunisationhandbook.health.gov.au/

2 Subsection 15(1) (cell at table item dealing with children born on or after 1 January 2017, column headed “If the child was born…”)

After “on or after 1 January 2017”, insert “and before 1 July 2024”.

3 Subsection 15(1) (at the end of the table)

Add:

on or after 1 July 2024 Schedule 5

4 Section 16

Omit “Schedules 1 to 4”, substitute: “Schedules 1 to 5”. 

5 Section 16 (note 1)

Repeal the note, substitute:

6 Schedule 4 (at the end of the heading)

Add “and before 1 July 2024”.
