1  Name

  This instrument is the List of Threatened Species Amendment (404) Instrument 2024.

2  Commencement

  This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under section 184 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

Declaration under s178, s181, and s183 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 - List of threatened species, List of threatened ecological communities and List of threatening processes

 

1  In the appropriate position under the heading “SPECIES THAT ARE CRITICALLY ENDANGERED”

Insert the following species:

  1.                     Eucalyptus aquatica
  2.                    Lepidium ginninderrense
  3.                     Melichrus gibberagee
  4.                    Pomaderris sericea
  5.                     Xyris exilis

2  In the appropriate position under the heading “SPECIES THAT ARE ENDANGERED”

Insert each of the following species:

  1.                     Epacris sparsa
  2.                    Telopea aspera
  3.                     Thelymitra matthewsii

3  In the appropriate position under the heading “SPECIES THAT ARE ENDANGERED”

Omit the following species:

  1.                     Melichrus gibberagee

4  In the appropriate position under the heading “SPECIES THAT ARE VULNERABLE”

Omit each of the following species:

  1.                     Eucalyptus aquatica
  2.                    Epacris sparsa
  3.                     Lepidium ginninderrense
  4.                    Pomaderris sericea
  5.                     Thelymitra matthewsii
