This instrument is the Hearing Services Program (Voucher) Amendment (Administrative Review Tribunal and Other Matters) Instrument 2024.

This instrument is made under the subsection 5(3), subsection 11(1), section 13, subsection 15(1) and subsection 17(1) of the Hearing Services Administration Act 1997.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Hearing Services Program (Voucher) Instrument 2019
1 Section 7 (heading)
Omit “Dependents”, substitute “Spouses or de facto partners”.
2 Section 8
Repeal the section.
3 Subsection 9(a)
Omit “DVA Health Card (Gold)”, substitute “Veteran Gold Card”.
4 Subsection 9(b)
Omit “, for purposes connected with obtaining treatment for an injury, disease or condition that involves hearing loss, a card that is issued by the Commonwealth and known as a DVA Health Card (White)”, substitute “a card issued by the Commonwealth and known as a Veteran White Card”.
5 Section 10
Repeal the section.
6 Amendments of listed provisions–Administrative Review Tribunal
Omit “Administrative Appeals Tribunal” (wherever occurring) and substitute “Administrative Review Tribunal” in the following provisions:
7 Subsection 25(1)
After “If a person asks a contracted service provider about any hearing services,” insert “including devices (in person or online),”.
8 Section 28
Omit “guidance published on the program’s website”, substitute “schedule of service items and fees”.
9 Subsection 50(1) (note):
