1  Name

  This instrument is the Telecommunications (Charges) Amendment Determination 2025 (No.1).

2  Commencement

This instrument commences at the start of the day after the day it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under subsection 60(1) of the Australian Communications and Media Authority Act 2005.

4  Amendments

  The instrument that is specified in Schedule 1 is amended as set out in the applicable items in that Schedule.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Telecommunications (Charges) Determination 2022 [F2022L01253]

1  Section 4 (definition of enhanced rights of use)

Omit “means the rights set out in section 76 of”, substitute “has the same meaning as in”.

2  Section 4 (definition of EROU applicant)

Omit “subsection 73(1) of”.

3  Section 4 (definition of EROU-holder)

Omit “section 15 of”.

4  Section 4 (definition of geographic number)

Omit “section 18 of”.

5  Section 4 (definition of numbering plan)

Repeal the definition, substitute:

   numbering plan means:

(a) the Telecommunications Numbering Plan 2025; or

(b) if an instrument made under subsection 455(1) of the Telecommunications Act replaces the instrument mentioned in paragraph (a) – the later instrument.

6  Section 4 (definition of registered carriage service provider)

Omit “section 15 of”.

7  Section 4 (definition of standard unit)

Omit “section 15 of”.

8  Section 4 (definition of unassigned unallocated smartnumber)

Omit “section 15 of”.

9  Subparagraph 14(1)(b)(i)
