2024 Summary and Conclusions

Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our survey on the Federal Register of Legislation that was open over the period 22 October to 22 November 2024. We received 1900 responses. Most responses were positive, though it was clear that a lot of you have found the redeveloped site to be a very different experience to the previous version and it will take some time to get the hang of it. We acknowledge that there is always room for improvement and we hope that you will continue to provide us with your constructive feedback.

Some of the things you told us you like:

  • The Register is easy to use

  • It is a comprehensive source of information

  • It is an authoritative, complete and trusted resource

Some of the things you would like to see improved:

  • Search and the results that are returned

  • Navigating within the document using hyperlinks, particularly large multi-volume documents

  • Reliability and stability of access to the website

Work to improve availability of the website has resulted in making access to the website more reliable. If you continue to have trouble with website availability please let us know.

We are continuing to work and improve the website. Some things can be fixed quickly and some things might take a little longer. There are other things that we are not able to fix while we continue to work in a word based system. Your feedback is valuable, please keep sending it through.
