It was authorised by the Competition and Consumer (Industry Codes—Franchising) Regulations 2024 from 1 April 2025 when section 3 was amended by Schedule 1 (item 1) of the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Industry Codes—Franchising) (Treasury) Delegations 2025.
